========================================================================= Friday,  23 Jun, 2023. 07:00. 1.Introduction-2. ========================================================================= In ancient times, masters and sages sat together in congregation, and discussed the problems of life of here and hereafter. What is life? What is this world? What is our duty? What are we expected to do, and in what way are we to behave, and so on. Is there a life beyond, or, is this life everything? Is this earth the evaluating principle of all, or is there something beyond? These questions were discussed in great detail, through centuries, right from the time of the Vedas. We have, in India particularly, a series of records available of such discussions of ancient masters, which are given to us today in the form of what we call the Veda-Rasi or the lore of sacred wisdom, usually known as the Vedas. It is a book of wisdom, or we may call it a group of books of wisdom, records of such disc...

========================================================================= Wednesday, 21 Jun, 2023. 06:30. Post-2. ========================================================================= Bharatham-Kandy-Srilanka It is strange, no doubt, that the ‘complex' should be regarded as one's self, because the self cannot be regarded as a complex bundle. We never, at any time, feel that we are made up of small bits. Never would even a fool feel that he is made up of parts. The affirmation of whatever be the characteristic of that is a single undivided wholeness of feeling. If we were to be suspicious of our being made up of parts, then we would be dubbed crazy. There would then be no confidence of any kind. We have an intuitive feeling of our being an undivided something, but we know very well that the body is not undivided. It has parts which can be divided spatially in terms of magnitude, and the body is subject to the laws of physics, chemistry, and so on. We never, for a moment, see...

======================================================================== Tuesday, 20 Jun, 2023. 07:00, Post-2. ========================================================================= NAIVE REALISM : There is a theory which is generally termed naive realism. According to it, what is perceived through the senses is the true nature of the object thus perceived. The datum of experience is identical with the reality that is presented to the perceiving consciousness in the form of the external object. There is no difference between object as perceived and object as it is in itself. The universe of objective perception is really in the very form in which it is experienced through the senses. The universe is material in nature, diverse in form and even mind which is the perceiver is a kind of modification of cosmic matter. This is, in other words, the materialistic view of reality. The great defect of this view is that it cannot account for the fact of error in perception. What is meant by e...

========================================================================= Monday, 19 Jun, 2023. 06:25. Post-2. ========================================================================= Then there are the five pranas – the prana, or the vital energy in us, operates in five ways. When we breathe out, expel breath, the prana is acting. When we breathe in, when we inhale the breath, the apana is acting. The vyana is a third form of the operation of this energy, which causes circulation of blood and makes us feel a sensation of liveliness in every part of the body because of the operative action of the bloodstream, which is pushed onward in a circular fashion throughout the body by the action of a particular function of prana, called vyana. There is another action of the prana, which is udana; it causes the swallowing of food. When we put food in the mouth, it goes inside through the oesophagus and it is pushed down by the action of a prana called udana. Udana has also certain other functio...

Chinmaya Mission : The heartfelt camp for the teachers of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Shegaon, curated by Swami Anukoolananda, took place from 4th to 6th June 2023. Every session was powerful, memorable, and demanded the complete involvement and enthusiasm of the teachers, which they wholeheartedly demonstrated. They had an eye-opening experience of the tremendous possibilities that arise with the right vision. From beginning to end, this camp served as a testament to the grace and love of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayanandaji in action. It was fitting that such an event took place in the magnificent Vision Centre of Chinmaya Mission, the home of Chinmaya Jeevan Darshan and Swanubhooti Vatika. Swami Anukoolananda curated a wonderful and comprehensive program that included a transformative talk by psychologist Dr. Sunitha Shanker, a workshop on holistic health by Dr. Renu Mahtani, a session on effective learning with Shri Pundlik Wagh, and enlightening talks on Pujya Gurudev and Chinmaya Mission b...
