MANDUKYA UPANISHAD : INTRODUCTION-10.
MANDUKYA UPANISHAD
INTRODUCTION-10.
In Muktiko Upanishad we have the briefest and yet the most glorious review on Mandukya wherein it is said "Mandukya alone is sufficient for an aspirant to reach liberation"
( Mandukya ekam kevalam Mumukshunam vimuktaye ).
Though it consists twelve prose mantra-s, in its purview it examines life in all its entirety as no philosophy in the past or present had ever succeeded.
Philosophy in the East as well as the West has been generally reviewing life in one of its facets, called the "Waking - State."
But philosophy should be an "interpretation" of the totality of human experience or of the whole of life from the standpoint of "Truth."
Both Swami Sri Adi Sankaracharya and Swamiji's Guru Sri Gaudapada gave their assent to this definition.
In Mandukya we will have a strictly self-evident procedure by which the great Rishi helps us to dissect the life entirely and discover the Truth in it.
