Journey into the Heart of Wisdom with Advaita Vedanta Immersive 2023 ✨
The Advaita Vedanta Immersive 2023 (AVI 2023) unfolded a sacred journey into the very heart of Vedanta wisdom.
Focused on the second sutra of the Brahmasutra – "janmadyasya yatah" (Janmadyadhikarana), this intensive study unfolded from December 25th.
Marking the continuation of the first two Advaita Vedanta Immersive programs (AVI 2017 & 2018) that centered around the Adhyasabhashya and the first Brahmasutra.
Rooted in the wisdom of the Upanishads, Brahmasutra, and Bhagavad Gita, seekers delved into the principles of Advaita Vedanta under the guidance of Swami Advayananda, President of Chinmaya International Foundation.
Along with the assistance of Brni. Shubani Chaitanya, Brni. Bharti Chaitanya, Br. Ved Chaitanya, Brni. Devaki Chaitanya, Brni. Taarini Chaitanya, Sri. Arunachalam, and Smt. Priya Arunachalam.
The study included detailed discourses on Shankara-bhashya, group discussions, Q&A sessions, meditation and daily reflections.
This holistic blend of Sravana, Manana and Nididhyasana is what forms the essence of the Advaita Vedanta Immersive.
This immersive exploration took place at the birth home of Sri Adi Sankaracharya, adding a spiritual resonance to the entire experience.
A total of 80 participants from diverse corners of the world came together on this journey, elevating their understanding and realigning their life toward the supreme reality.
As this camp concluded, it left behind minds inspired and hearts carrying the immortal seed of Janmadyadhikarana for further contemplation and spiritual evolution.

Chapter 1. Section - 2: (25 Mantras): THE CHOICE:
Mantram - 17: A Eulogy of “Om”
Post - 46.
================================================================
1.2.17: A Eulogy of “Om”
1 Etat aalambanam shreshtham = This (Om) is the best symbol;
2 etat aalambanam param; = This (Om) is the symbol for the highest;
3 etat aalambanam jnaatvaa = This (Om) is the symbol worth knowing;
4 brahma-loke maheeyate. = For he comes to be adored in the world of Brahma.

Like most scriptures, the thing that is taken up under discussion is always praised
as the best. This is done so as to instill the right faith in the mind of the student. He has to
feel that what he is going to engage himself in is going to bring him the results promised
most efficiently. Therefore, in this verse OM is given that supreme status.

Not only is the symbol praised, but it is also said here that one who does the
worship of OM becomes worthy to be adored by all who are familiar with anything to do
with the spiritual realm. Among devotees, the worshippers engaged in OM Upasana are
recognized to be genuine seekers working towards their legitimate goal. There is a stamp of
approval given to them through this verse. This is an important factor in ensuring that a
person begins this worship with full confidence that the goal will be reached; that the
reward will be received; that the effort will end in success.
SAANKHYA YOGA (as in Bhagavad Geeta)
The following two slogas have been copied into the Bhagavad Geeta under
“Saankhya Yoga” in Discourse 2. They fit well in the context of the Mahabharata war.
