MUNDAKOPANISHAD
CHAPTER-3.
SECTION-1.
MANTRAM-8. { Unique means of Self-realisation --- purification of mind. }
Discussion-7. "Jnana Prasada" ...first two words in the third line of the mantram....
Thus, the more we renounce and get over the negativities in us, the more purified we become in our mind and intellect, and the purer the mind, the greater the divinity which that mind comes to reflect.
And it is this that is meant here by "Jnana Prasada."
The dualists have claimed for this a meaning almost amounting to a "descent of grace from the Lord."
In bringing such a meaning out of this mantram they had, to some extent, to crush the mantram into an ugly discord.
Next : Discussion-8. "Realisation, thereafter, is immediate and fruitful"
To be continued ....
