Mantram-10. { Instructions on transfer of this Supreme Wisdom}.
"Tad-etad-rcabhyuktam-
kriyavantah srotriya brahma-nishtah
svayam juhvata ekarsim sraddha-yantah,
tesham-evaitam brahma-vidyam vadeta
siro-vratam vidhivad yaistu cirnam."
tat = that;
etat = this;
rca = by one RK ( a vedik mantram );
abhyuktam = explained;
kriyavantah = who perform rituals;
srotriyah = who read and study the Veda-s;
brahma-nishtah = who pursue the meditation upon Brahmam;
svayam = by oneself;
juhvate = offer oblation to the fire;
ekarsim = the sacificial fire called 'ekarsi';
sraddha-yantah = with faith;
tesham = to them;
eva = alone;
etam = this;
brahma-vidyam = knowledge of Brahmam;
vedeta = should tell;
siro-vratam = Sirovrata ( a vow of carrying fire on the head );
vidhivat = according to rules;
yaih = by whom;
tu = and;
cirnam = observed, performed.
'This very doctrine has been explained in a Veda mantram ( Rca ) as follows' : -
"To them alone, let one teach this knowledge of Brahmam, who perform rituals, who read and study the Veda-s, who pursue the meditaions upon Brahmam, who possess faith and offer oblations themselves to the fire called Ekarsi; and who have observed strictly the Sirovrta."
