MUNDAKOPANISHAD
    CHAPTER-3.
    SECTION-2.
Mantram-10. { Instructions  on  transfer  of  this  Supreme  Wisdom}.

Discussion-10. ( Qualification-4. "Who  possess  faith" : ( 'Sraddha-yantah'   last term   third  line  of  this  Mantram. )  and 5. "Who  offer  oblations  himself" :  ( 'Svayam  juhvate'    first  two  terms, third  line  of  this  Mantram )

Qualification-4. "Who  possess  faith" : ( 'Sraddha-yantah'   last term   third  line  of   this  Mantram. )

The  power  of  faith  and  necessity  of  faith  for  any  great  achievement  have  already  been  exhaustively  discussed  by  us.

Qualification-5. "Who  offer  oblations  himself" :  ( 'Svayam  juhvate'    first  two  terms, third  line  of  this  Mantram )
'
Here  the  emphasis  is  entirely  on  the  word  "himself"  ( 'Svayam' ).

There  are  a  lot  of  people  who  claim  themselves  to  be  "Hindu-s"  today  and  have  taken  to  convenient  and  cheap  methods  of  God-worship  and  Merit-hoarding!

A  very  educated  and  cultured  Rotarian  recently  dumb-founded  me  by  host-fully  declaring  that  " in  my  house  we  have  Gita-reading   everyday  for  the  last  twenty-eight  years."

I  believed  him  first  and  admired  that  young   man's  wonderful  chance  and   luck  in  life.

An  as  the  conversation  warmed  up,  quite  innocently  he  declared,  "but  I  don't  know  a  line  of  Gita  or  anything  about  its  contents!!"
