Holi Hai! On 13 March 2025, Adi Sankara Nilayam buzzed with excitement as Holika Dahan lit up the evening, filling the air with energy and anticipation. The next morning (14 March), the entire campus burst into a vibrant explosion of colour. Gulal (red coloured powder) floated through the air, laughter rang out and playful water fights turned into spontaneous dance circles.
Swami Sharadananda Sarasvati (Acharya, Vedanta Sadhaka Course) shared the rich history and deep significance of Holi, adding a layer of spiritual meaning to the festivities. His blessings, along with the enthusiastic participation of Br. Ved Chaitanya (Upacharya, Vedanta Sadhaka Course) infused the celebration with even more festive spirit and joyous colour, making it a truly unforgettable occasion.
By noon, the campus lay like a spilled rainbow and every colour whispering that joy, too, as a prayer.

TAITTIRIYA UPANISHAD
Pertaining to the SELF-CREATION of Brahman there is a Shruti verse… panishad

FOURTH PROOF:

He is the source of all Joy; we become happy by coming in contact with Him.

rasah vai sah; = is the source of Joy.
4

aanandee bhavati; = one becomes blessed.

These lines provide the Fifth Proof.
Again, seeing from the human perspective onto this sprawling creation before us, we are aware that it is this creation which brings us all the joy and happiness in life. Sorrow and pain are the reverse of the same coin, and therefore there is no need to mention them separately; they are to be taken as included.
Rasah or Joy is experienced when we interact in this world with complete obedience to the laws of Dharma that are laid down for its governance, which make creation Sukrita.
As a corollary, it is understood that if we do not abide by these laws, then our lot will be full of sorrow and pain, which arise from Paapa (Asukrita).
How does this prove Brahman’s existence? It is very clear: Joy cannot be experienced from creation unless a Conscious, pure entity is present in it. A non-entity has never been
seen to produce joy or happiness; this is the common experience of all beings. The very existence of Joy proves the presence of Brahman.
This is the FIFTH PROOF.

Due to His Presence, inert things are made to work sensibly; He is the sentient, unifying Presence behind effective activities.
