ISAVASYA UPANISHAD :

or

VAJASANEYI    SAMHITA    UPANISHAD

Mantram-2.

Discussion-2. "some  of  us  lack  qualities   .... to  follow  'Path  of  Knowledge' ...

All  of  us  are  not  of  the  same  temperament.

Some  of  us  lack  in  many  of  the  unavoidable  and  imperative  qualities  necessary  for  a  pilgrim  to  walk  the  "Path  of  Knowledge."

Oftener  than  not,  we  all  have  ample  desire  for  wealth,  for  relationships,  and  for  glory  and  recognition.

Those,  who  have  these inclinations  towards  a  life  in  the  world,  are  to  practice  sincerely  and  diligently,  the  life-of-actionm,  says  Scripture  here.

The  great  Rishi-s  in  their  godly  detachment  from  the  world  and  its  happenings,  have  observed  theb  scroll  of  history  of  men  and  nations  with  detachment,  we,  too,  can  easily  see  certain  fundamental  truths  demonstrated  amidst  their  changing  destinies.

Noble  and  eternal  values  of  life,  when  negated  and  flouted,  the  generation  tumbles  down  into  a  wreckage,  and  their  revival  is  almost  always  directly  proportional  to  the  sincerity,  intensity,  and  strength  with  which  the  rising  generation  adopts  the  nobler  and  enduring  values  of  philosophical  and  religious  perfection.

Next : Discussion- 3.   1. 'action'   2. 'inaction' 3. 'unaction'. ....

To be continued  ...
