Books The Mundaka Upanishad: 4,  First Mundaka First Khanda Swami Krishnananda =========================================================================================== The First Mundaka: First Khanda Mantram - No. 6: That which is imperceptible, ungraspable, without lineage, colourless, eyeless and earless, handless and footless, eternal and all-pervading, existing in the heart of all, very subtle, imperishable and the source of all beings, is beheld by men of wisdom. This indestructible being does not come within the purview of the powers and the functions of the body, the vital energy, the senses of knowledge and action, the mind, the subconscious, the intellect, and the ego, whatever be the form into which their functions are modified.   ============================================================================================== Tuesday 29, April 2025, 11:15. Books Upanishads The Philosophy of the Panchadasi: 1.3.  Chapter 1: Discrimination of Reality-3. 1.The Evolution of the Universe Swami Krishnananda. ===================================================================================================== 1.The Evolution of the Universe: Prakriti or the matrix of the universe, animated by a reflection of Consciousness or Brahman, divides itself in the beginning into the cosmic forces called Sattva (equilibrium), Rajas (distraction) and Tamas (inertia). Cosmic Sattva is called Maya. On account of its transparency and the absence of the property of Rajas in it, it is omnipresent and reflects in its essence Brahman ...

=================================================================================== Monday 28, April 2025. 11:20. Article Scriptures Commentary on the Isa Vasya Upanishad: 6. Part-1. Swami Krishnananda POST: 6. ==================================================================================== The poorest man is God Himself. One of the qualities of God is utter dispassion. God is known as Bhagavan, one who is qualified with bhaga, dispassion. Many qualities are mentioned. One of them is total dispassion, unconnectedness, unrelatedness to anything, non-possession. 'Bhole Baba' is Lord Siva, as people say. Bhole Baba means like a fakir, as God sometimes is portrayed. In a poetic fashion, saints and sages sometimes portray God like a beggar in order to depict this truth of total freedom from the sense of possession and utter disconnection from externality of any kind of space-time objects. Can we believe that such a Being is the happiest of all beings? And can we believe that we ...

============================================================================== Wednesday 23, April 2025. 09:20. Article Scriptures Commentary on the Isa Vasya Upanishad: 5. Part-1. Swami Krishnananda POST: 5. ============================================================================== The Upanishad is very brief. It does not give us a large commentary. Know this, and grab not property, and covet not any wealth. Be happy. Anyone who has a little common sense, who has the leisure to think deeply over this important issue, will appreciate the meaning of this dictum of the Upanishad that merely by knowing this, we will be happy. Knowledge is bliss. Chit is ananda. We are not accustomed to this kind of thinking. Our thinking is commercially oriented. It is conditioned by a give-and-take policy, exploitation, and possession of property, as I mentioned. We do not know any other way of thinking except this kind of crude materially-oriented thinking. But divine thinking is free from thi...
