Mantram-2.

Discussion- 7. "animal-man,... man-man ...sakama  karmam .......nishkama karmam"

Though  the  goal  is  Godhood,  experienced  in  "perfect  unactivity "   realised  through  the  "Path  of  Renunciation"  the  stages  of  progress  for  the  animal-man   to  the  state  of  god-man  are  through  an  intermediary  junction  called  the  man-man.

The  animal-man  revels  in  inactivity,  and  he  gets  evolved  to  the  state  of  man-man,  first  through  a  desire  motivated  programme  in  " intense  activity  (  sakarma  karma ),  and  then  through  a  subtle  life  of  activity  which  is  pursued  without  motive  or  desire  (  nishkama  karma ).

Selfish  work  fulfils  itself  into  selfless  work  and  selfless  work  accomplishes  its  goal  in  purifying  the  mind  and  the  intellect  of  the  individual,  who  thereafter,  gains  an  initiation  into  the  "Path  of  meditation ".

Next : Discussion-8. 'karma'...day-to-day  activities ..."work  for  work  sake".

To be continued  ...
