MUNDAKOPANISHAD

CHAPTER-3.

SECTION-2.

MANTRAM-1.{Desireless  men  get  liberated  by  worshipping  "A Knower  of  Brahmam" }

**Discussion-4. "Guru -Seva" ....***

This  is  not  altogether  inexcusable.

In  ordinary  conversations,  we  often  name  the  goal  for  the  very  means.

If  a  man  in  the  town  is  asked,  " where  are  you  going,"   he  would  certainly  answer,  "to  the  office  am  I  bound," and  yet,  after  another  ten  minutes  we  may  meet  him  round  the  corner  waiting  at  a  bus-stop.

Herein,  we  do  not  generally  call  that  man  a  liar  because  he  did  not  tell  us  that  he  was  going  to  the  bus-stop!!

Similarly,  the  service  of  the  Master  is  explained  here  by  the  Sruti  as  directly  responsible  for  the  Supreme  Realisation.

***In  fact  Vedanta-sastram  declares  it  in  the  most  unequivocal  terms  that  "GURU-SEVA"    makes  the  aspirant  only  more  and  more  fit  for  greater  exertions  and  higher  flights  through  meditation.***

*** "THE HYDERABAD CAMPUS NEGLECTING "KNOWLEDGE" FOR WHICH THESE STUDENTS GET SCHOLARSHIPS ABOUT 25000/-PM, ENGAGED IN IGNORANT POLITICAL ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE ANTI NATIONAL,  ENDED  IN  DISASTER.***

XXX "NOW TEACHERS ARE JOINING ALONG WITH PROTESTERS NEGLECTING THEIR DUTIES, AFTER RECEIVING BIG MONEY BAG AS SALARY" XXX

Nation will not forgive them!!!

IT IS VERY URGENT FOR SPIRITUAL TRAINING FOR ALL  STUDENTS TO KEEP  THEIR  HEAD  COOL

Discussion-1.

In the last mantram the great Rishi summarizing his transcendental wisdom declared, "all this is, verily, "AUM".

Continuing the declaration, the Rishi is now giving a discourse to the student and he says, "all this is BRAHMAM."

Naturally, it is clear that the great Master is wanting the student to understand that AUM is BRAHMAM.

AUM is not only indicates the Spiritual Centre in the Individual, but also r…

Discussion-7.

The Absolute 'this' is then the Spiritual Center in ourselves; and since Spiritual Factor is Eternal and All-pervading, the Center in ourselves is the Center everywhere.

The individual-Self is the Universal-Self.

And hence the Sruti says, "This Atma is BRAHMAM."

This oft-quoted declaration is considered to be major text ( Mahavakyam ) by the Vedantik-seekers.

A Mahavakyam is a scriptuaral declaration…
