Karika Slokam - 21 :

"Makara-bhave prajnasya  manasa-manyam-utkatam,

matra-samprati-pattau  tu  laya-samanyam-eva  ca."

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Translation :

makara  bhave  =  becomes 'M';

prajnasya  =  of prajna;

mana  samanyam  = similarly of being  a  measur;

utkatam  =  become  evident;

matra  =  letters;

samprati pattau  =  relating  to;

tu  =  but, while;

laya  samanyam  = similarly  of  being  the  ground  of  dissolution;

eva  ca  =  and  also;

Tattvam (Essence) :

The identity of prajna  and 'M' is  upon  the  clear  common  feature,  that  they  both  are  the  'measure'.  The other  reason  for  such  an  identity  is  because  'all  become  one  in  both  prajna  ans  'M' .
