Discussion- 3.  "Present  day " .......




These  are  the  days  of  feverish  activity  ---  social,  communal,  national,  international.

Many  are  the  blind  advocates  of  activity.

 { example many .. the present /Recent  Public place Kiss demos-( c/s umbhana-samaram ) }.

Every other man is a leader ( the present politics / Religious  pseudo heads  ),  and  he,  who  is  not  a  leader  now,  is  but  a  budding  leader  leader ( All student political wings,  and ..so..on ),  waiting  for  his  chance  to  blush  out  to  be  one  at  least  in  his  own  conception  of  himself!

But,  in  spite  of  all  these  leaders  and  their in  leading,  the  world,  as  such,  is  gasping  forward  from  confusion  to  despair,  and  steadily  and  systematically  tottering  from  despair  to  disaster!

These  are  the  days  even  the  educated  have  started  wondering  why  it  is  all  so!

"The  diagnosis  and  the  cure  are  contained  in  the  secret  depths  of  this  very  Mantram."

"Sarvam  hyetad  Brahma,  ayam-atma Brahma,
so' yam-atma  catuspat."

sarvam - all;

hi - indded;

etat -this;

brahma - this (is)  BRAHMAM;

Discussion-1.

In the last mantram the great Rishi summarizing his transcendental wisdom declared, "all this is, verily, "AUM".

Continuing the declaration, the Rishi is now giving a discourse to the student and he says, "all this is BRAHMAM."

Naturally, it is clear that the great Master is wanting the student to understand that AUM is BRAHMAM.

"AGAMA PRAKARANA"
( The Scriptural Treatise )

Mantram-2

"Sarvam  hyetad  Brahma,  ayam-atma Brahma,

Discussion-7.

The Absolute 'this' is then the Spiritual Center in ourselves; and since Spiritual Factor is Eternal and All-pervading, the Center in ourselves is the Center everywhere.

The individual-Self is the Universal-Self.

And hence the Sruti says, "This Atma is BRAHMAM."

This oft-quoted declaration is considered to be major text ( Mahavakyam ) by the Vedantik-seekers.

A Mahavakyam is a scriptuaral declaration…

Jagarita-sthano  bahih  prajnah  saptanga

ekona-vimsati-mukhah  sthula-bhuk

vaisvanarah  prathamah  padah.

Jagarita-sthano  :  one whose field is waking state;

bahih  prajnah   :  who is conscious of the external;

sapta  angah  :  has seven limbs;

ekona  vimsati  mukhah  :  has nineteen mouths;

sthula-bhuk  :  experiencer of  gross objects;

vaisvanarah   :  (is)  vaisvanara;

prathamah  :  first;

padah  ;  quarter.

The first quarter (pada)  is Vaisvanara whose sphere of activity is the waking state, who is conscious of the external world of objects, who has seven limbs and ninteen mouths, and who enjoys the gross objects of the world.
