Mundakopanishad : { A seeker seeing meaningless-ness of the wordly and heavenly pleasures advised to approach a teacher and seek 'Supreme Knowledge.' } Mantram-12.

Mundaka-Upanishad

Chapter-1.

Section-2. ( Rituals )

Mantram-12. { A  seeker  seeing  meaninglessness  of  the  worldly  and  heavenly  pleasures  advised  to  approach  a  teacher  and  seek  "Supreme  Knowledge." }

Mantram-12.

 Discussion-4. "knowing  which  everything  else  becomes  known"......

The  idea  is  that  moksham  is  not  and  cannot  be  the  result  of  any  action  performed;  for,  in  that  case,  like  a  pot  made  by  a  pot-maker,  moksham  also  will  be  a  perishable  state.

The  Eternal  should  be  and  is  ever  unborn;  for,  all  that  are  born  must  necessarily  die.

When  a  clearer  thinking  intellect  thus  measures  the  benefits  of  ritualism,  it  becomes  disinterested  in  the  greater  joys  promised  in  the  higher  abodes.

Thereafter,  the  seeker  shall  have  a  thirst  to  know  only  that  Knowledge  "knowing  which  everything  else  becomes  known."

Next : Discussion-5. "Approaching  a Guru.........."

To be  continued    ....
